Conduct a Children’s Choir

Ever wondered what it would be like to strategically wave your arms in front of a sea of a 100 piece symphony orchestra? How about the sweet voices of a children’s choir? Well, Paul from Boom Radio had the chance to visit the Maylands,Perth sector (where I am the conductor) of the Australian Youth Choir and learn the basics of choral conducting in a two hour session. With the visit being quite the event, the magnificent Mary Pollard (who teaches even higher level choirs than me) came in to take the workshop and children from all over Perth came to Maylands to be a part of all the fun. Below are some photos of what went on:

All who were at the workshop had a wonderful time, myself included. With Paul crossing an item off his bucket list, it does make me wonder what would be on my own bucket list? Indeed, what makes up a spectacular life?

Do you have a bucket list? How many items do you have yet to cross off?
